Project Engineer Cost Control

We need to strengthen our Civil North operations in Norrbotten with a project engineer for our ongoing and upcoming projects. As a Project Engineer in Cost Control at NCC, you will have an important role in driving our projects forward – from idea to reality. You will become part of an engaged team of project engineers where you have the opportunity to develop within your field, while contributing to creating sustainable solutions for society's future. The Project Engineer Cost Control Role As a Project Engineer in Cost Control, you have an important role in the project's financial management and progress. You work closely with project management to ensure that the project is carried out within the set cost frames. You gather documentation, follow up on completed work and relate it to recorded costs and time spent. Together with project management, you analyze and assess the project's financial status. You are responsible for controlling and posting supplier invoices, assisting in forecast reporting and coordinating purchasing and delivery plans against production needs. You manage drawings and models, monitor documentation from subcontractors and ensure that contract requirements are met. As a project engineer in the department, you will report to our Group Manager in the Production Group and work together with our other project engineers in the department and in the project, as well as participate in networks within the field at NCC. Your Profile To thrive and be successful in the role, we see that you have experience of broad work within construction production. You have experience with production budgeting, cost monitoring and contract law. You preferably have post-secondary education in the field. It is a merit if you have experience from a similar role in production-related operations in the construction or infrastructure industry or similar, and have an understanding of our type of operations. As a person, you are social and a good networker who enjoys having broad contact surfaces both internally and externally. We place great importance on you being driven, self-directed, development-oriented and responsible. To succeed in the role, you also need to have pedagogical and communicative abilities where you clearly and naturally get your surroundings with you. You have a structured working style and the ability to plan your work, you enjoy driving multiple issues in parallel and you like the administrative part as well as enjoy being close to the pulse out in production. You have administrative ability and share our values. You speak and write both Swedish and English and hold a class B driver's license. We will place great emphasis on your personal qualities. About Civil North Our Civil North department works with land, infrastructure and construction projects. We are approximately 500 engaged employees divided into seven production manager groups within our geography of Norrbotten, Västerbotten, Västernorrland, Jämtland and Värmland. Further Information The position is a permanent employment with a six-month probationary period. The role requires regular physical presence at our projects, and we are therefore looking for someone who lives – or has the possibility to settle – in Norrbotten County. Our initial projects are within commuting distance from Boden, but weekly commuting to other project locations may occur later. Start by agreement. Class B driver's license is a requirement for the position. This position will be background checked in accordance with NCC's security culture. The department works with security-classified projects.
