Project Engineer Cost Control

We need to strengthen our Civil North operations in Norrbotten with a project engineer for our ongoing and upcoming projects. As a Project Engineer in Cost Control at NCC, you will have an important role in driving our projects forward – from idea to reality. You will become part of an engaged team of project engineers where you will have the opportunity to develop within your field, while contributing to creating sustainable solutions for society's future. The Project Engineer Cost Control Role As a Project Engineer in Cost Control, you have an important role in the project's financial management and progress. You work closely with project management to ensure that the project is completed within the set budget limits. You gather documentation, monitor completed work and relate it to recorded costs and time spent. Together with project management, you analyze and assess the project's financial status. You are responsible for controlling and posting supplier invoices, assisting in forecast reporting and coordinating procurement and delivery plans against production needs. You manage drawings and models, monitor documentation from subcontractors and ensure that contractual requirements are met. As a project engineer in the department, you will report to our Department Head within the production group and work together with our other project engineers in the department and in the project, but also participate in networks within the field at NCC. Your Profile To thrive and be successful in the role, we see that you have experience from broad work within construction production. You have experience with production estimates, cost monitoring and contract law. You preferably have post-secondary education in the field. It is advantageous if you have experience from a similar role in production-related operations within construction or infrastructure sectors or similar, and have an understanding of our type of operations. As a person, you are social and a good networker who enjoys having extensive contact both internally and externally. We place great emphasis on you being driven, self-directed, development-oriented and responsible. To succeed in the role, you also need to have pedagogical and communicative skills where you clearly and naturally bring your surroundings along. You have a structured working style and the ability to plan your work, enjoy driving multiple issues in parallel, and you like the administrative aspects and enjoy being close to the pulse of production. You have administrative skills and share our values. You speak and write both Swedish and English and hold a Class B driver's license. We will place great emphasis on your personal qualities. About Civil North Our Civil North division works with land, infrastructure and construction projects. We are approximately 500 engaged employees divided into seven production manager groups within our geography: Norrbotten, Västerbotten, Västernorrland, Jämtland and Värmland. Further Information The position is a permanent employment with a six-month probationary period. The role requires regular physical presence at our project sites, so we are looking for you who live – or have the opportunity to settle – in Norrbotten County. Our initial projects are within commuting distance from Luleå, but weekly commuting to other project locations may occur further ahead. Start by agreement. Class B driver's license is a requirement for the position. This position will be background checked in accordance with NCC's security culture. The department works with security-classified projects.
