Building and maintaining roads and infrastructure is significant. Contributing to societal development is even more significant. With us, you get to do both. We are now seeking a Project Engineer for our construction operations in Dalarna, Västmanland, and Gävleborgsregionen. Within Svevia, we combine the community and teamwork of a small company with the stability of a large enterprise. Here you have the opportunity to develop as a road specialist – with commitment, collaboration, and responsibility.
Your assignment in a production-focused role within work environment
As a project engineer, you are an important support in our construction projects and work closely with the site manager and team throughout the project – from start to finish. You monitor finances and schedules, handle contractual matters, and are responsible for project documentation, including change orders and additional work. You also help develop project and production plans.
A central part of the role is to support and develop work within quality, environment, and work environment (QEW). You are an operational support to managers in daily work and help manage risk observations, near-misses, and accidents. You follow up, analyze, and contribute to improvement measures to create safer workplaces.
You participate in safety rounds, promote good order and safety at the workplace, and help keep QEW matters alive in the project. You work according to our routines and ensure that laws and requirements are followed, while contributing to continuous improvements in both projects and work methods.
Who are you?
To thrive as a project engineer with us, you enjoy a varied day where you work close to production and together with others drive the projects forward. You are structured and thorough, while also being flexible and solution-oriented when conditions change.
You have good knowledge of the Office package and a Class B driver's license. You are used to working in a structured manner with focus on schedules, finances, and documentation. You take responsibility for your tasks and understand the importance of following routines, agreements, and safety requirements. You enjoy working close to the operations and supporting managers and teams in daily work.
It is meritorious if you have experience from the construction industry and experience working on projects. If you also have experience with quality, environment, and work environment (QEW) or with finances and project monitoring, we see that as an advantage.
As a person, you are engaged, take own initiatives, and want to contribute to improvements. What matters most is your drive and your willingness to contribute to safer, more efficient, and well-functioning projects.
Part of something larger
With well-coordinated work teams, we build Sweden from the ground up – in concrete, steel, wood, stone, and soil. And we do it by building roads, bridges, quays, and concrete structures for industry, the state, and municipalities. We also break new ground and pave the way for water and sewage networks, wind power parks, and development areas. We also have specialized units in foundation work and soil remediation. Together with Svevia's other operations in road maintenance and paving, you become an important cog in a larger societal machinery. That opens new possibilities for innovation and problem-solving.
Why Svevia?
With us, you quickly become part of the team and we care about being a workplace for everyone. Decision-making paths are short, it's easy to influence and make your voice heard.
We have career paths for you whether you want to become a manager and leader or want to develop in your existing professional role. It is as a team we create success. It is how we do business and generate results. It is how we make cities and countryside function. Do you want to join us on this journey?
