Do you want to lead complex infrastructure projects and contribute to the development of Sweden's railways? We are now seeking an experienced Project Manager for a long-term consulting assignment within a comprehensive railway project in northern Sweden. This assignment is ideal for someone with solid experience in design and construction projects who thrives with leading, coordinating, and driving projects forward with a focus on quality, time, and budget. About the assignment As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for planning, leading, and monitoring the design process within assigned projects. You work independently within given parameters and collaborate closely with the project leader to ensure that design work is carried out according to established goals. You will, among other things, be responsible for: Leading, managing, and monitoring design contracts regarding time, cost, and quality. Reporting project status to the project leader. Handling communication and notifications to suppliers. Coordinating design work with other projects and disciplines. Participating in coordination with authorities, municipalities, and other external stakeholders. Ensuring that required permits and approvals are obtained. Administering and quality-assuring review of design documents. Coordinating the work of specialists within the project. Monitoring technical requirements according to applicable contracts. Ensuring that the supplier receives necessary decisions and technical guidance. Preparing complete request materials for construction procurement. Verifying invoices related to design assignments. Responsible for risk management and actively working on risk-reducing measures. Ensuring that work environment requirements are integrated during both design and construction phases. Representing the client at technical meetings, consultations, and permit matters. Contributing to good relationships with stakeholders and other interested parties. Responsible for document management and ensuring that facility documentation is prepared. Qualifications We seek someone with: At least 5 years of experience as an assignment manager, project manager, or design manager in detailed design of civil and construction projects for railways. Documented training in construction law (AB and ABK). Documented training in BAS-P/BAS-U. Documented training in the client's responsibility for work environment. Very good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both verbally and in writing. Valid B-class driver's license. We would also like it if you: Are structured with good planning ability. Are accustomed to working independently and making well-founded decisions. Have clear leadership and good collaboration skills. Are communicative and enjoy a role with many contact points. Have a strong focus on quality and safety. Practical information Work location: Luleå Travel is required in the position, primarily to Skellefteå. Own car is required for the assignment.
