Would you like to contribute to the development of Sweden's infrastructure? We are now looking for an experienced and dedicated Design Engineer who wants to work on exciting road projects in Gothenburg. As a Design Engineer, you will work closely with one or several project managers and provide important support in project implementation. The role involves contributing to planning, administration, coordination, and monitoring of various project components, with a focus on schedule, cost, quality, risks, resources, safety, environment, and workplace conditions. You will have many internal and external contact points and participate in meetings with consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders. The role also involves developing materials and analyses to monitor contractors' deliverables and ensure that project objectives are achieved. Key Responsibilities Support project managers in day-to-day project management. Participate in project planning, administration, and monitoring. Manage and monitor schedules, budgets, risks, and resources. Coordinate and document meetings with contractors and consultants. Develop decision-making materials, reports, and monitoring documentation. Contribute to ensuring projects are conducted in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, guidelines, and internal processes. Assist project managers with internal and external contacts. Monitor contractors' deliverables and project progress. We are Looking for Someone Who Has Mandatory Requirements Academic education with a technical focus, minimum 120 higher education credits in engineering, economics, construction, or equivalent competence deemed equivalent. At least 5 years of experience over the last 5 years working as: Design Engineer, Construction Engineer, Project Coordinator, or Project Economist in road and civil construction projects, with at least 50% utilization rate. At least 2 years of continuous experience within the same assignment. At least 5 years of experience in: Risk management Schedule planning Budget management in projects Certification according to TDOK 2018:0371 APV, minimum level 2.2. (Certification can be completed no later than two months after contract signing.) Driver's license (Category B). Personal Qualities To succeed in this role, we see that you: Have very good knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite. Express yourself fluently in Swedish, both verbally and in writing. Are organized, thorough, and responsible. Have strong collaboration skills and a solution-oriented approach. Are proactive and self-driven.
