We are now looking at Jefferson Wells for a Project Economist for an exciting consulting assignment at KTH in Stockholm. Start: Immediately Scope: Full-time (100%) Assignment duration: Initially 8 months Location: Campus Stockholm, work mainly on-site Contribute to successful research and development projects As a Project Economist, you will be part of the finance department at the EECS School at KTH. The role involves working closely with operations and supporting institutions in managing grant-funded projects and contributing to financial management within one or more institutions. You will work closely with project managers, researchers, and department heads and be an important support in both operational and strategic financial matters. Your responsibilities include: Ongoing accounting and bookkeeping Year-end closing work Grant fund requisitioning Financial reporting to funders Project administration Budgeting of research and development projects Monitoring, analysis, and forecasting work Budget and forecast work for institutions Financial support to project managers and management functions Are you the project economist we are looking for? We are looking for someone who enjoys taking responsibility for financial processes and has the ability to combine accuracy with a consultative approach. You are used to working independently while appreciating close collaboration with the business. To succeed in this role, we see that you have: Relevant financial education or equivalent work experience Experience in accounting and financial monitoring Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written Good knowledge of the Office suite, especially Excel Experience with business systems such as Agresso, SAP, or similar Experience in budget and forecasting work Experience supporting managers or management groups in financial matters It is meriting if you also have: Experience independently working with accounting, year-end closing, and reporting of grant-funded projects Experience from a university, college, government agency, or other research-intensive organization As a person you are structured, analytical, and responsible.
