Description of the Workplace The Hematogenomics Research Group is located at the Department of Hematology and Clinical Immunology and studies how genetic variation affects blood cell formation and the risk of blood diseases. The research group is led by Professor Björn Nilsson and consists of staff members with complementary expertise (clinical, experimental, bioinformatic). The research group is located at the Biomedical Center (BMC) in Lund. We are now seeking a project assistant for our research group. Tasks and Responsibilities The position as project assistant primarily involves responsibility for bioinformatic analysis of large-scale flow cytometry data and assistance with various types of bioinformatic analyses. Qualifications Requirements for employment are: University education at the master's level in a relevant field (e.g., master's degree in bioinformatics) Solid bioinformatic competence Good programming skills Previous experience participating in research projects within a subject relevant to the research group Documented knowledge of and experience with software for automatic gating of flow cytometry data Good English language skills Great emphasis will be placed on personal qualities and suitability. The position requires that you have good collaboration skills and good communication skills. Other Information The employment is a special fixed-term employment (SÄVA) on a full-time basis (100%) limited to 6 months with a desired start date of 2026-09-15, or by agreement.
