Description of duties As a project manager with us, you are responsible for independently planning, leading and implementing building projects for schools, preschools and care facilities - from early concept to completed delivery. In this role, we are specifically looking for you who are senior in your professional role and who want to take greater responsibility, which includes managing parts of the maintenance portfolio and supporting and developing less experienced colleagues in the organization. You have overall responsibility for your projects and work in accordance with our established processes and our business idea: to develop and manage school and care properties that contribute to development and well-being. You report to the Project Unit Manager and are part of an engaged project organization. Your main duties include leading, planning and managing building projects in all phases, from pre-study to production and completion. You have overall result and budget responsibility throughout the project process and actively work with financial management as well as ongoing reporting to the Project Unit Manager and project economist. The role includes leading and coordinating external consultants and identifying, managing and following up risks and opportunities in projects. You are responsible for ensuring that project quality and requirements for environment and occupational health meet both legal requirements and company guidelines. You also handle call-offs via framework agreements and are responsible for requirements in procurement according to LOU. You collaborate with authorities and external administrations and have special responsibility for planning, prioritizing and monitoring parts of the company's maintenance portfolio. The role also includes serving as support and sounding board to less experienced project managers and contributing to competence development within the team. You actively participate in developing work methods, routines and processes within the project unit and contribute to cross-functional collaborations within the company. Qualifications We are looking for you who have relevant higher education in construction, real estate or equivalent many years of experience. The position requires several years of experience in independently managing complex building projects. Good knowledge of project management, finance and procurement is important. It is meritorious to have previous experience of working in or with the public sector. Experience in mentoring or supporting colleagues in project work is seen as advantageous. Experience of LOU is also considered meritorious. Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, is a requirement for the position.
