About the operation
Region Dalarna is responsible for healthcare, dental care, medical aids, public transportation, and folk high schools, and also works with adult education, research, public health, and culture. We also work with development issues in infrastructure, business, labor market, and environment.
Fornby Folk High School is one of three folk high schools in Dalarna with Region Dalarna as the governing body. Region Dalarna's folk high schools work together toward the Region's health goals through education, skills supply, and making culture accessible.

Job Duties
We are looking for a project staff member with expertise in Swedish as a Second Language (SVA) to work on the project Close to Language and Health. The project is a subproject of the ESF-funded Progresso project, which aims to support people outside the labor market to make progress toward social integration and self-sufficiency. The project position, at 50% employment, spans from fall term 2026 through spring term 2029 and includes, in addition to SVA instruction, activities with non-subject-specific content aimed at improved health and empowerment for project participants. Follow-up, documentation, and planning work at both group and individual levels are included. The subproject is located at Fornby Folk High School in Borlänge, and the project team currently consists of three experienced staff members who, with the project's expansion, need to be complemented by a fourth member.
The employment extends through June 30, 2029.
Qualifications
To be considered for this position, you must have
pedagogical training in SVA (qualified to teach in SFI)
experience with SVA/SFI instruction
Meritorious:
additional pedagogical training
experience working with newly arrived immigrants
experience with health promotion work
Personal qualities:
Pedagogical skill and good sense of interaction are crucial. Great weight will be placed on personal suitability in this recruitment.
