TOURISM DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT
SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER
We are looking for a colleague who:
- has a genuine interest in inbound tourism and business tourism, and is motivated to participate in promoting Riga as an international tourism destination and fostering foreign tourism flows to Riga, including the targeted development of business tourism to Riga;
- plans and organizes familiarization visits for foreign tourism and MICE industry representatives to Riga in cooperation with tourism industry entrepreneurs and partners;
- manages the agency's tourism management support programs;
- ensures the necessary document flow for tourism management competency matters, including preparing procurement documentation and participating in procurement process organization;
- collects tourism and MICE industry statistics and performs data analysis;
- prepares reports on sector development;
- maintains and updates MeetRiga.com service provider sections and partner profiles;
- maintains and posts current information about Riga's business tourism on the Business Riga LinkedIn profile;
- participates in international projects to promote Riga's recognition.
We expect from you:
- higher education;
- state language proficiency at the highest level;
- English language proficiency at C2, C1 level according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages; knowledge of other foreign languages will be considered an advantage;
- 3+ years of experience relevant to the position in business tourism or inbound tourism sector; preference will be given to candidates with experience in planning and organizing conferences, congresses, and incentive trips in Riga;
- good practical skills in working with MS Office software and office equipment;
- effective planning and presentation skills;
- attention to detail and ability to prepare professional business correspondence;
- information analysis and presentation skills, strong argumentation abilities;
- high sense of responsibility, independence in decision-making, and excellent interpersonal skills.
We offer:
