About the Job
As a Production Technician, you work with technical planning and preparation for the manufacturing of advanced components, tools, and fixtures where requirements for precision, quality, and technical expertise are high. Here you'll have a dynamic and varied workday through a wide range of both manufacturing processes and materials.
You hold a central position in the manufacturing chain and are involved throughout the entire process, from customer inquiries and planning to final delivery. This gives you both significant influence and a clear connection between your work and the results delivered to customers.
In close collaboration with customers, production, and suppliers, you ensure quality, delivery accuracy, and efficient production. Most of the manufacturing takes place in our own machine shop in Skultuna, but we also outsource processes externally.
Examples of tasks:
Assess customer inquiries and prepare technical documentation for quotes.
Develop production and verification methods, conduct operation planning, and prepare cost estimates for items.
Take responsibility for technical planning, scheduling, and handover of manufacturing orders to production.
Collaborate with customers, production, and suppliers to ensure efficient and quality-assured solutions.
Prepare production documentation, instructions, and technical documentation.
Support production on technical matters and drive and participate in improvement and development work throughout the organization.
About You
We're looking for someone with technical education and experience from the manufacturing industry. You have a good understanding of CNC and cutting operations, and you're accustomed to interpreting technical drawings. Knowledge of measurement techniques and materials science provides a solid foundation for making well-considered technical decisions. You're experienced in business systems, Office packages, and other relevant digital tools.
With a strong technical interest, analytical ability, and a solution-oriented approach, you thrive as the link between customer, production, and supplier. Solution focus, optimization, and development are part of your DNA. We'd like to see that you're senior in your competence, but we're also open to someone earlier in their journey.
Knowledge in CAD/CAM, advanced CNC programming, in-depth expertise in materials engineering and measurement techniques, and the Monitor ERP business system are advantageous.
