Cria is a hobby store and web shop in Linköping with products for everyone who wants to create, from DIY enthusiasts to professional users. We are now seeking a production technician for our own brand that is sold through retailers.
The brand encompasses custom-developed colors, waxes, surface finishes, mold release materials, and other products for both professional users and the DIY market.
We are now looking for someone who wants to work hands-on with both product development and manufacturing in our workshop in Linköping Tornby.
About the position
The work consists of both lab and production. You work according to recipes and test plans, mixing, testing, and evaluating various formulations. This can involve, for example, consistency, application, drying, gloss, protection, and color. The work requires both precise measurements and a practical eye—many product properties are assessed through application, feel, and visual results rather than through measurements alone.
You will not develop recipes from scratch, but you will participate in testing, documenting, and improving them. The work is very independent and you often work alone on your tasks and tests. At the same time, you maintain regular contact with those who develop the recipes and oversee product development, so that results, questions, and any deviations can be followed up and discussed.
Once the products are fully developed, you will also work on manufacturing small batches, filling, weighing, labeling, and preparing products for delivery to our retailers.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for someone with a practical interest in color, materials, and surface finishes, a good eye for how such products work, and who enjoys working hands-on.
Relevant experience could come from painting, art, decorative painting, paint and coatings, wood treatment, artist materials, crafts, or similar fields. We place great importance on personality, practical experience, and work approach.
Most importantly, you:
- work with great precision and methodology
- can follow recipes, instructions, and documentation procedures
- communicate clearly
- are curious about materials and why products behave as they do
- enjoy testing, comparing, and improving
- can work independently and take responsibility
Scope
The position is approximately 75% and working hours are relatively flexible.
