Here, commercial bakery ovens are developed and manufactured for professional bakeries worldwide. The products are known for their energy efficiency, performance, and long service life. As a production manager, you will oversee the part of production where some of the company's largest development initiatives are currently taking shape. Over the coming years, implementation of OPS, development of kitting flows, increased automation, and several investments await that will impact how the factory operates going forward.
About the Role
You will be responsible for our client's CNC department, where a modern and largely automated sheet metal processing line forms the hub of production. The department consists of experienced operators and programmers working in a modern, highly automated sheet metal production environment.
The role combines responsibility for daily production with long-term development of production flows, automation, and working methods. An important part of your role is to drive the transition toward a more takt-based production flow where material is produced and delivered just-in-time to assembly. Over the coming years, you will be a key person in implementing a new OPS system, developing kitting flows, and continuing automation initiatives.
The investments now underway mean this role will have significant impact on how production develops in the coming years. You will work closely with production, planning, procurement, engineering, and external suppliers. At the same time, you have personnel responsibility for the department's operators and are responsible for ensuring operations run safely, efficiently, and with high quality.
Your Responsibilities
Lead and develop the CNC department's daily operations
Have personnel responsibility for operators, including development conversations and salary reviews
Drive implementation of the OPS system and development toward kitting-based production
Develop working methods around kitting and just-in-time production
Responsible for the department's production planning and resource utilization
Coordinate work between production, planning, procurement, and engineering
Handle deviations, complaints, and root cause analyses
Ensure preventive and corrective maintenance within your area of responsibility
Drive improvement initiatives in safety, quality, and efficiency
Contribute to upcoming automation and investment projects, such as robot welding
We are Looking for Someone Who
Has several years of experience leading production in manufacturing industry
Is motivated by developing processes, flows, and working methods together with others
You don't need to be a specialist in CNC programming or sheet metal processing, but you have sufficient technical understanding to make decisions, drive development, and have constructive dialogues with operators, engineers, and suppliers
Very good skills in Swedish and English
It is a merit if you have worked in sheet metal processing, CNC-controlled production, or machine shop industry. We also view favorably experience and/or training in project management.
You are someone who takes responsibility for making things work in practice. You are structured and clear, but also curious about developing working methods and processes over time. Since the role involves many contact points, you need to be able to build trust with both operators, colleagues, and external parties.
We also believe you appreciate environments where decisions can be implemented into reality relatively quickly and where you have the opportunity to influence both technology, working methods, and future investments.
