We are seeking a strategic and development-oriented production unit chief who, with a holistic perspective, courage, and decisive action, wants to take responsibility for leading and further developing the Senses Center. Our Offer The Senses Center is a specialist healthcare center at the forefront within Region Östergötland. The assignment includes county-, regional-, and nationally highly specialized care as well as extensive research and education responsibilities. The Senses Center consists of 10 clinics with 1,830 dedicated employees. Annual revenue is approximately 2,700 Mkr. The service areas include anesthesia and surgical services, intensive care, postoperative operations, ophthalmology and otolaryngology, oral, neuro-, hand and plastic surgery, pain management and rehabilitation medicine specialist care, and clinical neurophysiology. The region's organ donation operations are organized under the Senses Center. Care is primarily provided at Linköping University Hospital and Vrinnevi Hospital in Norrköping. Job Description As production unit chief, you have overall responsibility for the Senses Center's operations, employees, and finances. You ensure that operations develop and contribute to achieving established goals and strategies. Through efficient use of existing resources and well-founded priorities, you create the best possible benefit for patients. Contributing to the development of healthcare at an overarching level is also part of the role. Supporting your work are Region Östergötland's governing principles and healthcare's vision. You are the center's external representative and have multiple collaboration forums. Among other things, you will have close cooperation with other production units within Region Östergötland. Work Group You are the direct manager of the operations managers within the Senses Center's 10 clinics. You lead the management group for the Senses Center, which consists of operations managers and development, research, finance, and HR managers. You are part of healthcare's management group, and your direct manager is the healthcare director. About You We are looking for someone with a university degree in healthcare. Solid management experience leading operations through other managers is required, preferably within the public sector. Experience with university healthcare is advantageous. Research is comprehensive at the production unit, so it is highly advantageous if you hold a PhD. The position requires knowledge and skills in strategic leadership at individual, group, and organizational levels. Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written, is expected. The management assignment is a fixed-term appointment for four years. Employment begins by agreement. The position will be subject to a security clearance. First interviews are scheduled for the morning of September 22 and the afternoon of October 2.
