This is where timber is divided and the processing of the forest we harvest begins. Bygdsiljum is located in central Västerbotten, between Umeå and Skellefteå. In addition to the production of sawn timber products, the Bygdsiljum facility houses the production of glulam and CLT (cross-laminated timber). Glulam has been manufactured in Bygdsiljum since the mid-1960s, and the facility is today one of the largest glulam producers in the Nordic region. Bygdsiljum Sawmill employs 260 employees. Here you will have a central role in developing both the operation and its employees. About the Role As production manager, you will have overall responsibility for the sawmill operation in Bygdsiljum and become a key person in our continued development. You lead the operation forward with a focus on safety, efficient production, and continuous improvement by leading and developing the operation, employees, and processes in line with the company's goals and strategies. At the same time, you build on our strong team spirit and culture where employees thrive, develop, and perform together. Here you combine the strategic perspective with presence in daily operations. The sawmill organization consists of approximately 90 employees, including four direct supervisors. You like to make decisions, create involvement, and build an open climate where everyone wants to contribute. You are solution-oriented with a focus on practical implementation. You are driven by working with work environment, safety, and continuous improvement. You are structured and decisive with the ability to work sustainably and steadily. You act with high integrity and take clear responsibility in your work. We're Looking for Someone Who Has Post-secondary education in, for example, engineering, production, or equivalent work experience. Experience in leadership with responsibility for personnel, operations, finances, and work environment Experience in industrial production Experience with Lean work and continuous improvement Experience working with the whole of the operation and seeing the connections between finance, organization, production, product, and market. You have very good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing, as well as basic knowledge of English. A B-class driver's license is required.
