About the roleExpandia is seeking a Product Engineer with a focus on CAD specialist who wants to take a key role in developing our technical solutions and working methods. With us, you combine technical expertise with development, coordination, and knowledge sharing in an operation where innovation and quality are in focus.
In the role, you are responsible for developing and maintaining the group's common drawing standards and CAD templates, as well as producing production drawings for both internal and external manufacturing. You become an important specialist resource that supports the organization with, among other things, CAD-related issues and contributes to ensuring high quality in our building technical documentation.
You function as important technical support in building technical issues throughout the entire project chain. The role also involves identifying and driving improvements in both products and work processes to strengthen efficiency and quality in our product development.
As a Product Engineer, you have a central role in our continued development and work closely with the business. You help ensure that our modules maintain high technical quality while contributing to the development of sustainable building processes where quality, efficiency, and environmental considerations go hand in hand.
The position is based at our office in Västerås. Expandia has approximately 105 employees distributed across seven offices in the Nordic region. You will become part of a product team with three committed colleagues, one of whom is based in Klippan and the others in Västerås. You report to the Product Manager.
Your main responsibilitiesResponsible for developing, quality assuring, and implementing documentation that supports project implementation, such as instructions, manuals, procedures, and control documents.
Identify, analyze, and drive improvement suggestions through the entire product development process – from idea to implemented solution.
Ensure high quality by planning and conducting quality inspections of modules at deliveries, renovations, and in factories.
Conduct spot checks of quality during assembly and disassembly of modules at construction sites and in factories.
Contribute with building technical calculations and analyses.
Contribute to knowledge development by sharing experiences regarding new solutions, changes, and improvement initiatives.
Participate in analysis and investigation of root causes and quality deficiencies to identify improvement measures and strengthen product development.
Prepare materials for renovation and reconstruction of modules.
Handle invoices related to your own area of responsibility.
In addition to the above tasks, your role will have a special focus on drawing production and internal drawing training and be a driving force in developing internal CAD competence.

You have a building engineering education of at least three years, or equivalent knowledge and experience that we consider equivalent.
