The Department of Culture has approximately 800 employees who primarily work in libraries, culture centers, museums, and other cultural activities. About the Position We are now seeking a producer who will be responsible for the annual Angered Book Fair event and its development. The assignment also includes developing and managing the culture center's activities as a whole together with the manager and colleagues. As a producer for the Angered Book Fair, you are responsible for coordinated management and long-term development of the event. Approximately half your time will be dedicated to the fair, from concept and budget to program, schedules, grant applications, and administration. You plan and implement program activities, build relationships with authors, publishers, associations, businesses, and municipal operations, and actively work to ensure that people in the local area can help shape the content, not just attend it. The other half of your time you will work on the culture center's ongoing program activities and operations together with your colleagues. This means you produce and implement programs outside the fair as well and contribute practically in the facility during events. The work alternates between long-term planning and concrete on-site implementation. This is a fixed-term employment at 100% until 2027-06-06. The work involves day, evening, and weekend shifts according to schedule. Qualifications We are looking for someone who has - Post-secondary education in humanities, culture, or another field that the employer deems relevant for the position - Experience producing program content within culture, literature, social issues, or similar areas - Experience in project management with responsibility for budget, schedules, and administration - Experience collaborating with both independent cultural actors and volunteer organizations as well as established organizations - Strong ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish It is an advantage if you have - Practical experience with co-creation and dialogue as a working method - Broad contacts in the culture and literature sector - An established network of actors in Angered Who Thrives in This Role? You work systematically, keep many parallel threads together without losing sight of the big picture, and take responsibility for both your own work and ensuring the process moves forward for everyone involved. You can switch between the overarching and the practical and are equally comfortable laying out the fair's concept and budget as you are booking a program activity yourself or rearranging a space before an evening's event. You build relationships with different actors and meet people with curiosity and respect regardless of context. Creating space for more people to participate and influence the content is something you see as a natural part of the assignment itself.
