If this role appeals to you, we look forward to hearing from you.
Who Are We?
Scenkonst Öst creates performing arts with both breadth and depth, and our activities are for everyone in Östergötland. Scenkonst Öst consists of the artistic operations of Norrköping Symphony Orchestra, Östgötateatern with Ung Scen Öst, and Östgötamusiken. The organization also includes shared support functions in areas such as communication, HR, IT, finance, and facilities. Our core values—courage, respect, and participation—guide us in our daily work.
Norrköping Symphony Orchestra is one of Sweden's leading symphony orchestras and offers a broad concert program featuring both classical repertoire and newly commissioned music. Musicians, conductors, producers, and various other professionals work together here to create high-quality public experiences. As a producer with planning responsibility, you will have a central role in this work.
What Does the Role Entail?
As a producer with planning responsibility, you will project manage several of the orchestra's concert productions from initial planning through implementation and follow-up. You are part of the production department led by the artistic director.
The role includes budget responsibility for assigned productions and work with contracts, tour arrangements, accommodation, and other practical requirements for guest artists and conductors. You lead and prepare production meetings, monitor finances and deviations, and ensure that planning follows current agreements and internal guidelines.
As the planning coordinator, you also have overall responsibility for season and venue planning for the entire concert program. This means you work long-term and in coordination with the artistic director, orchestra director, other producers, and the program board. The role may also include co-productions with other parts of Scenkonst Öst, which requires strong collaboration skills, clear communication, and a structured approach.
In your daily work, you collaborate with many people in various professions—from musicians, conductors, and soloists to technical and administrative staff—to provide the public with the best possible experience. You are clear and enthusiastic, with the ability to see things from multiple perspectives and quickly turn new information into action when needed. You enjoy working in a structured and thorough manner but are also stimulated by creative challenges.
