Role Description
The role involves independently leading and coordinating complex IT procurements throughout the entire purchasing process – from sourcing strategy to contract award and vendor management. You will secure digital solutions, advanced process automation, and cybersecurity that directly enable sustainable energy operations for the future. You report to the Contracting & Procurement Lead and IT Procurement Lead, and collaborate closely with both the project organization and the client's central IT function.
Your primary responsibilities:
End-to-End Procurement: Manage the complete delivery of IT procurements (hardware, software, cloud services, and digital solutions) in accordance with the project's purchasing plan.
Strategic Sourcing: Develop and execute procurement strategies for specific technology areas such as MRV systems (Monitoring, Reporting & Verification), process automation, and cybersecurity.
Commercial Negotiations: Lead vendor searches, evaluations, and complex commercial negotiations with strong focus on total cost of ownership (TCO) and business value.
Stakeholder Management: Be the primary contact point for IT procurement toward IT/OT, Category Management, legal, cybersecurity, ESG functions, and external EPC partners.
Risk Management (RAID): Identify, analyze, and manage vendor risks, long lead times, and integration challenges within the project's RAID process.
Reporting & Governance: Ensure audit-compliant documentation and prepare decision materials for IT leadership and project steering committees.
Mandatory Requirements
We seek a strategic negotiator with high integrity and deep understanding of complex IT environments. To match this role, you have:
Experience: At least 5–7 years of experience in strategic IT procurement or IT Procurement.
Contract & Negotiation Expertise: Documented experience negotiating and managing large and complex IT contracts as well as vendor management.
Regulatory Understanding: Experience with procurement in regulated operations, for example related to NIS2, cybersecurity, or other regulatory compliance.
IT & Systems Competence: Good understanding of IT hardware, software, cloud services, and modern digital infrastructure, as well as proficiency with digital procurement tools.
Education: Master's degree in Economics, Finance, Law, or another relevant field.
Languages: Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
Desirable Requirements
Experience from large, capital-intensive investment projects (CAPEX).
Additional language skills beyond Swedish and English.
Personal Qualities
You are business-minded, structured, and possess strong strategic thinking. You have high integrity, good collaboration skills, and are experienced navigating successfully in a complex project organization with many parallel stakeholders. As a person, you are communicative, solution-oriented, and able to make well-founded decisions even in complex and time-pressured situations.
About the Assignment and Terms
Start Date: August/September 2026 to end of September 2027
Scope: Full-time (100%)
Location: Stockholm (Campus Office)
Other: Business travel may occur as needed.
