Legal Counsel at JuridikJuristen – Family Law, Social Law and Dispute Resolution Juridik Juristen in Sweden AB is growing and seeking an additional qualified legal counsel to join our team. We are currently three attorneys with extensive experience from, among other things, work at three different courts, law firms, and qualified legal work as representatives. Our practice is primarily focused on economic family law, family law and social law, but we also represent clients in several other types of civil disputes. Now we are seeking a legal counsel who wants to work independently with qualified legal work, litigation and own clients while continuing to develop with us. About the Practice Economic family law is a central part of JuridikJuristen's operations. All attorneys at the firm are regularly appointed by courts to assignments such as estate administrators, division representatives and partition officials. We also work regularly with inheritance disputes, property divisions, probate matters and other issues within economic family law. In addition, we have extensive practice in family law and social law, where we act as counsel in matters and proceedings concerning: custody, residence and visitation, LVU and other social law matters, property division, inheritance and inheritance disputes, estate administration and inheritance distribution. We also work broadly with civil dispute resolution and represent clients in ordinary litigation matters. This can include, for example: claim disputes, contract law disputes, damages disputes, insurance law disputes, bankruptcy-related disputes, and other property law disputes. The position therefore offers a combination of specialization and legal breadth. You will have the opportunity to develop top expertise particularly within family law while working with varied civil law processes. Notary Public As of September 1, 2026, the practice will also offer services within the framework of Notary Public. For the attorney interested, there will be an opportunity to gain insight into and develop expertise in this area of the practice as well. Who Are We Looking For? We are primarily seeking someone who already has a strong legal foundation and who wants to take significant responsibility for clients, matters and legal proceedings. Absolute Requirements The position requires: a Swedish law degree, and fluent Swedish in both speech and writing. These requirements are mandatory. Furthermore, we are seeking someone with one of the following backgrounds: 1. Court Experience You have completed a court clerkship or have other relevant experience with qualified legal work at a Swedish court. or 2. Law Firm Experience You have at least two years of experience with qualified legal work at a law or attorney firm and documented experience of independently acting as counsel in family law matters or proceedings, for example in custody, residence and visitation, property division or inheritance disputes. Particularly Meriting Qualifications are court-admitted, have experience with economic family law, have worked with property divisions, inheritance disputes or probate matters, have experience with court proceedings and independent representation work, have experience with social law matters and proceedings, or have a particular interest in economic family law and want to develop expertise in the field. You do not need to already be a specialist in economic family law. For the right person, there are excellent opportunities to develop expertise in the field together with attorneys who work with these issues daily. We represent clients in many different locations and our assignments therefore involve travel to courts, government agencies and other proceedings in other locations as a natural part of the work. A B-class driver's license is therefore a merit. The Role with Us We are not seeking someone who only wants to work with legal processing in the background. With us, you will have the opportunity to independently manage matters, represent clients and develop as counsel and litigation attorney. Depending on your prior experience, you will among other things: have your own clients and independently be responsible for matters, prepare qualified legal filings, negotiate with opposing parties and other counsel, represent clients at oral hearings and main proceedings, work with property divisions, inheritance, inheritance disputes and probate matters, work with custody and social law proceedings, handle claim disputes, damages disputes, insurance and other civil disputes, and if interested, have the opportunity to develop expertise within our Notary Public operations. Since we represent clients in multiple locations, you may also litigate at different courts throughout the country. At the same time, you work closely with the other attorneys at the firm and have the opportunity to discuss both legal and procedural matters within the team. What Do We Offer? We offer a flexible, independent and well-compensated role for someone who wants to develop within qualified legal practice. With us, you will work in an operation where attorneys are given significant responsibility while you have close access to colleagues with experience from both courts, law firms and independent litigation. We offer, among other things: competitive and individually tailored compensation, great flexibility and opportunity to work from home, significant personal responsibility and own clients, extensive opportunities for litigation, opportunity to litigate at courts in different locations, opportunity to develop expertise in economic family law, opportunity to work with court-appointed assignments in probate and property division matters, opportunity to develop expertise within Notary Public operations, and opportunity to grow together with a firm in continued expansion. For us, it is more important to find the right attorney than for the candidate to fit a predetermined template. We value legal proficiency, responsibility, good judgment and the ability to build trust with clients.
