Process Engineer

Sunpine is the world's largest producer of crude tall diesel – and we're growing. We're now looking for a process engineer to join our production department. Could you be our new colleague? At Sunpine, we take a forest residual product and transform it into a raw material for biofuels and other renewable products. Our production process is protected by approximately 90 patents and is nearly fossil-free. We're now seeking a process engineer who can drive operational technical development to ensure safe, sustainable, and optimized production. As a process engineer at Sunpine, you will develop calculations and materials for feasibility studies, trials, and optimizations. You will work with process technical calculations, simulations, and flow diagrams, develop technical specifications and functional descriptions for equipment and systems, and provide support to project management and procurement in procurement processes. You will conduct risk analyses and develop processes and methods. The role reports directly to the Head of Production Technology. You are part of the production department but will also work closely with the maintenance, project, and logistics departments. We're looking for someone with an academic degree in a technical engineering field or equivalent experience. You have experience with advanced or large-scale projects, report writing, and digitalization initiatives and/or process calculations. Experience with HAZOP or ASA, knowledge of process flow diagrams, and previous work in the process industry – preferably refining – are advantageous. You should be able to express yourself well in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing, and have good skills in Excel. As a person, you are proactive, clear, structured, and have strong collaboration skills. You are analytical and enjoy solving complex problems, while also having the ability to drive work forward in a self-directed and methodical manner.
