the position of Probation Specialist at the Ogre Branch of the Zemgale Region territorial unit
(1 vacancy for an indefinite period)
Main duties of the position:
monitor conditionally sentenced persons, conditionally released persons, persons conditionally released from criminal liability, and persons subject to probation supervision criminal sentences (includes person monitoring and organization of social support, including visiting probation clients at their place of residence during nighttime hours);
organize the execution of community service criminal sentences and educational compulsory measures of community service;
prepare assessment reports upon request from the court, prosecutor, or administration of a detention facility;
conduct probation programs;
organize and participate in inter-institutional meetings;
prepare submissions to court and represent the State Probation Service in court.
Requirements for candidates:
conformity with the requirements of Article 7 of the State Civil Service Law;
higher academic or second-level professional higher education;
good cooperation and communication skills;
knowledge of document management issues;
understanding of criminal sentence execution matters;
good command of Latvian language in speech and writing;
ability to use information and communication technologies;
ethics, client orientation, analytical thinking, independence, result-oriented approach;
desired Category B driving license.

monthly salary from 1247.00 EUR to 1492.00 EUR (before tax payment) according to the evaluation of individual monthly salary setting criteria;
20% supplement to monthly salary and three additional working days off for work related to special risk;
35-hour working week;
vacation allowance up to 50%;
additional days off up to 9 working days, depending on work performance evaluation;
