About the Position We are now seeking a Press Communicator for a municipal organization. In this role, you will work together with the press manager on the client's media matters. The assignment encompasses both proactive and reactive media management as well as service to journalists. You will act as a spokesperson for the client and support managers and employees in media contacts. You will conduct analyses and develop action proposals related to current projects and activities, and are responsible for ongoing media reporting to the organization. You have the ability to explain complex issues in a clear and understandable way to different target audiences. You are also skilled at writing plain language in, for example, press releases and intranet texts. You have a good understanding of the municipality's mission, how media operates, and can identify issues that may attract media attention as well as assess how these should be handled. You also have a strong ability to communicate messages both internally and externally. You need to be prepared to be available and work outside regular office hours when needed. The role involves close collaboration with the communications department and other departments at the client organization. In addition to press service work, other communication assignments may also occur. Assignment Period and Scope The press communicator position is a full-time consultant assignment starting 3/8-2026 and is expected to run through 31/12-2026. Work shall be performed on-site at the client's offices on Kungsholmen. Working hours are Monday–Thursday 07:45–16:30 (45 minutes lunch) and Fridays 07:45–16:00. Requirements for the Position: • Post-secondary education in communication or equivalent. • At least three years of experience in strategic and operational media work in the role of communicator/press manager/press chief/press secretary. • Extensive experience serving as a spokesperson to media. • Extensive experience writing press releases. • Experience in strategic and operational communication work. • Experience supporting spokespersons in preparing for media interviews. • Excellent Swedish language skills—both spoken and written. • Work experience in public sector organizations.
