Folkungabygden Pastorale was established in 2014 and has approximately 25,000 members across seven parishes in the municipalities of Mjölby, Boxholm, and Ödeshög, within the Diocese of Linköping. Parish work is conducted locally in five work areas, with shared administration in Mjölby.
The Pastorale comprises 34 churches and church spaces dating from the 1100s to 2025. Our greatest asset is our over 120 employees who, together with volunteers and elected representatives, sustain and develop parish life.

The Role of Associate Pastor
The position encompasses the full breadth of the priestly calling, with responsibility for worship services, pastoral offices, pastoral care, teaching, and parish development. You will become part of a competent and engaged team where collaboration, participation, and responsibility are central values.
We would appreciate it if you would be interested in contributing to work with children, youth, and families. Confirmation instruction is an established and important part of the Pastorale's life, and if you have interest and experience, there is an opportunity to take special responsibility for planning and coordinating the Pastorale's shared confirmation program.
Work is conducted in close collaboration with other parishes in Folkungabygden Pastorale, which provides both breadth and variety in the position. Your main placement is in Mjölby Parish, but you are employed by the entire Pastorale and contribute together with colleagues to the church's life and development in our shared region. Through collaboration between Mjölby, Skänninge, Väderstad, Vifolka, and Östra Tollstad, you will be part of a larger context with many colleagues, diverse activities, and a rich parish life.
Your Profile
We seek someone who is ordained in the Church of Sweden and has the right to perform marriages. You are comfortable handling administrative tasks and using IT systems to support your work. A valid driver's license (category B) and access to your own vehicle are required for this position.
We also value your ability to meet people and build trusting relationships, and your desire to actively contribute to developing a vibrant and sustainable parish life. You appreciate meeting people of different ages and life situations and view confirmation instruction as a natural and meaningful part of the church's mission.
