Praktiska Gymnasiet Liljeholmen The school is centrally located in Liljeholmen and houses just over 650 students and 69 employees. We offer nine programs: hotel & tourism, sales & service, construction & infrastructure, electrical & energy, vehicles & transport, childcare & leisure, care & health services, the industrial program with a focus on locksmithing, and the crafts program with specializations in hair and makeup styling & hairdressing. We educate the workforce of the future, and the school runs apprenticeship programs, which means students do practical work for half of their training time. This places high demands on us as a school to maintain close contact with the industry. We have a competent and well-functioning student welfare team that is well integrated into daily operations. We have great diversity in our teaching staff, which we are very proud of. Due to parental leave, we are now seeking a substitute at 80-100% who can take on the role of school counselor at the school during the 2026/2027 school year. Your Assignment This is a temporary position for 1-1.5 years starting September 21 or by agreement. We are looking for a counselor who can continue to bring a psychosocial perspective to the school to help students achieve their educational goals and also to ensure students feel good and thrive. We work very proactively but also in an intervention capacity. The position includes ongoing contact with other authorities such as the Swedish Migration Agency, the Tax Agency, the Swedish Social Insurance Agency, and Social Services. You will also conduct motivational conversations. In your role, you will work closely with school leadership, and part of the work also involves facilitating the school's daily operations and providing service to students, colleagues, and visitors. Your Profile We are looking for someone with a degree in social work or behavioral science. We believe you would be a good fit for us if you have a strong ability to see and listen to personal needs and convey a sense of security. You must have experience working as a school counselor or equivalent work. Great weight is placed on personal suitability, flexibility, and ability to collaborate. Experience in social work and cooperation with other societal institutions such as social services, child and adolescent psychiatry, child rehabilitation services, and police is a merit.
