Food Service Worker - Assistant Cook

We are seeking an assistant cook for our food service operations at VNOI. Work in a single-shift operation (Monday - Sunday, 6:00 AM - 3:00 PM). Five shifts one week, four shifts the next week. Assistant duties in food preparation - peeling potatoes and vegetables, cutting, shredding, portioning salads, spreads, and similar tasks. Cleaning food service department areas, washing dishes in the employee dining hall, washing dishes from medical departments in the large-capacity conveyor dishwasher. Assistance with portioning food on the plating line. Waste handling from the food service department. On weekends and holidays, handling carts and stainless steel transport containers during meal delivery to medical departments.
