Starting: 8/24/2026 Charity Nový Jičín is looking for a new colleague for the position Social Services Worker for Charity House Mother Teresa – shelter What awaits you? • Work with clients in a social service for people at risk of losing their housing • Support service users in finding and maintaining housing: counseling, help with budgeting, skills training, accompaniment, strengthening competencies to maintain independent living • Collaboration within the team and with other services or institutions in the housing sector • Service base in Nový Jičín and Straník What are we looking for? • Empathy, patience, and the ability to see meaning even in small progress • Minimum education: vocational school diploma • Advantageous: completion of an accredited course Social Services Worker according to Law 108/2006 Coll. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Ability to communicate with people in difficult situations and psychological resilience • Class B driver's license and user knowledge of PC work • Identification with Charity's philosophy and willingness to cooperate during extraordinary situations (e.g., floods), organizational management of material and financial collections, etc. What do we offer? • Meaningful work with direct impact on clients' lives • Expected possible start date: as soon as possible • Full-time position, continuous operation, 12-hour shifts, 37.5 h/week • Support of a stable organization and a team that pulls together • Participation in service development, training, supervision, further education according to individual needs • Management support in self-realization • Meal allowance, 5 weeks of vacation, allowance for leisure activities • Salary 26,100 Kč + bonuses up to 10,000 Kč/month, supplements for night shifts, Saturday+Sunday, holidays Do you want to work meaningfully, in a service where even a small step is a victory?
