Job Duties In recent years, artificial intelligence (AI) technologies have developed dramatically to transform our society and industry. For example, wireless network performance has been greatly enhanced by AI. With increasing data volumes and model sizes, high-performance networks are also a key enabling technology for advanced AI applications. Wireless networks are therefore becoming AI-native. The project will investigate key technologies for AI-enhanced wireless networks and also advanced AI techniques within networks. You will work on a project involving interdisciplinary development of AI and wireless networks in terms of theory and algorithm development. Concrete examples include optimized distribution of AI models in networks or optimized wireless networks with AI, such as semantic communication or AI-based optimization. Qualifications Requirements Completed doctoral degree or foreign degree assessed as equivalent to a doctoral degree. This eligibility requirement must be fulfilled no later than when the employment decision is made. You must have a strong track record of research results in the fields of AI and/or wireless networks, as evidenced by high-quality publications in leading journals or leading AI conferences. You should have a strong background in communication/information theory, optimization, or AI models (e.g., large language models, reinforcement learning). Required knowledge/skills include excellent written and oral proficiency in English, as this is required in daily work. We appreciate excellent ability to collaborate and lead projects.
