The Ground Warfare School's (MSS) role is to work together with other parts of the armed forces to create conditions for ground warfare units to perform their assigned tasks as effectively as possible both nationally and internationally. MSS also performs tasks for the entire Swedish Armed Forces such as development and procurement of soldier-carried equipment, individual weapons and support weapons. Within this scope, the Ground Warfare School educates the Swedish Armed Forces' future leaders using advanced training facilities and solid knowledge.
About the Position
The positions are located in the Officers Company, which together with the Specialist Officers Company, Training Division and Tactics Division form part of the Ground Warfare School's Training Unit. The Officers Company is responsible for implementing the Officers Program's practical training and Reserve Officers Training at the Ground Warfare School. The positions are at level SO7/OF2.
Main Duties
The position involves leading the training of platoon cadets in military science, leadership and defense systems. The platoon consists of a commander, deputy commander and one or more instructors.
Training methods include but are not limited to: field exercises, simulators, lectures, seminars and exercises with live and blank ammunition.
Qualifications
- Professional officer or reserve officer
- Work experience in ground warfare and experience from mechanized units
- Experience as an instructor in marksmanship training and combat training
- Driver's license class B minimum (manual transmission)

- Experience training officers
Personal Qualities
At the Officers Company it is required that you are self-directed, flexible and capable of solving complex tasks with significant personal responsibility. You should demonstrate strong commitment to developing officer training and to training and mentoring future colleagues. Additionally, good collaboration skills are required. Great weight will be placed on personal suitability.
