Here you'll inspire kids to create computer games, test new ideas, and discover how exciting technology can be. About Hemkodat Hemkodat works to make technology fun and exciting for children and young people, especially for girls and non-binary youth. Through activities for kids in grades 3–6, we want to spark interest in technology early and broaden the image of who can be involved in tech. Working as a Leader As a leader, you'll plan and run sessions where kids get to create and have fun with Scratch, Roblox, Minecraft, and more. It should feel like a fun recreational activity, not another classroom lesson. You'll do things like: Teach kids to create games and other digital projects Plan activities together with other young leaders Help kids when they get stuck and explain things in simple ways Make sure everyone gets to participate and has fun You don't need to know how to program from the start—we'll teach you the basics! However, anything can happen when working with kids, so you need to be flexible and solve problems when things don't go as planned. Practical Details About the Job We're looking for leaders for our weekly afternoon activities in Lund starting this fall semester. You work at least one afternoon per week Depending on your schedule, you can work multiple afternoons You meet the same group on the same weekday throughout the semester Sometimes there are opportunities to work extra during school breaks This job suits you if you're in high school and want a part-time job after school. You need to be able to leave school reasonably early at least one day a week to make it to the activities.
