About VUGI Since 2010, VUGI has operated Olympen Training Center, located on Linnaeus University's campus in Växjö. We are a non-profit association with approximately 1,200 members and offer a wide range of training and activities, including gym, group training, football, volleyball, badminton, basketball, and floorball. We strive to create a welcoming meeting place where students and other members can train, develop, and thrive. About the Position As Facility Manager, you have overall responsibility for the daily operations of Olympen Training Center. You work closely with our receptionists and group training coordinator and are responsible for ensuring the facility runs smoothly—both practically and administratively. You are a natural leader who enjoys having many points of contact and likes to combine operational work with planning and development. Your Responsibilities Manage the daily operations of the training facility. Supervise and support other staff. Plan staffing and scheduling. Work with marketing and member communication. Provide excellent service to our members and work with sales. Plan and implement activities and events. Handle administrative tasks such as invoicing and statistics. Work at the reception and contribute to a welcoming environment. Ensure facilities and equipment maintain high standards. Working hours are flexible and may be scheduled during daytime, evenings, and weekends based on operational needs. Qualifications We prefer that you have post-secondary education in, for example: Sports Science Public Health Behavioral Science Or other education that the employer deems equivalent. Since many of our members are international students, you need to be able to communicate fluently in both Swedish and English. Hold a valid driver's license (Class B) Meritorious Experience It is particularly advantageous if you have experience with one or more of the following: Group training instructor. Experience with the member and booking system Zoezi. Invoicing. Marketing or communication, preferably on social media. Practical skills and ability to perform simple repairs of training equipment. Employment Employment Type: Permanent position (probationary period may apply). Scope: 40–100%, depending on candidate and how the position is structured.
