The Swedish operations consist of two sites, in Örebro and Sundsvall, which together form an important part of the group's global organization for manufacturing and logistics. In Örebro, cutting operations and sub-assembly are carried out in a technically advanced production environment where quality, innovation, and collaboration are in focus. We are now seeking a Plant Manager who wants to take overall responsibility for operations in Örebro and help continue developing both people, processes, and production. Here you will be part of an operation where technology and precision meet strong commitment to continuous improvement. Your Future Challenge As Plant Manager, you lead operations through your managers and are responsible for several different areas related to production. The role involves broad responsibility where you balance day-to-day operations with long-term development work. You have seven direct reports—managers and specialists with varied experience and expertise. An important part of the assignment is to create conditions for them to succeed in their roles, build strong collaboration, and develop a culture characterized by openness, participation, and continuous improvement. You report to the Global Vice President Logistics & Manufacturing, based in Sundsvall, and are part of the global leadership group for logistics and manufacturing where you play an important role in influencing the operation's development. Examples of Responsibilities Lead and develop production operations in Örebro Have overall responsibility for production, assembly, warehouse, maintenance, facilities, and production technology Responsible for budget, results, and resource planning Drive improvement initiatives within Lean, 5S, and operational development Ensure compliance with quality, occupational health and safety, and environmental standards Develop collaboration between global functions (such as Quality, H&S, Planning, Procurement) and other international operations Manage union relations and cooperation within occupational health and safety matters Be a driving force in change and development work Are You the Right Person? We are looking for someone who is a confident and experienced leader with a background from manufacturing industry. You are accustomed to leading through other managers and thrive in a role where you combine hands-on operational leadership with a strategic perspective. As a person, you are action-oriented, clear, and unpretentious. You build trust through open leadership, are not afraid to make decisions, and have the ability to drive change even when it challenges established practices. At the same time, you are attentive and see the value in involving others to create engagement and long-term results. To succeed in the role, you need to be able to navigate a global matrix organization, build trust across functional boundaries, and have the ability to translate strategy into concrete results in daily operations. Qualifications Masters degree in Engineering or equivalent technical university degree Multiple years of experience in a leadership position within manufacturing industry Good understanding of modern production, cutting operations, or advanced manufacturing Experience with budget and profit responsibility Knowledge of Lean, 5S, or similar improvement methods Experience in change management Good knowledge of occupational health and safety, quality, and environmental work Experience from international matrix organization Excellent proficiency in Swedish and English Information and Application In this recruitment, Bucher Emhart Glass is collaborating with AxÖ Consulting.
