About Us At Decentral Energy Solutions, we develop, operate, and maintain local energy solutions for industry, commercial properties, and other energy-intensive operations. We ensure our customers have access to reliable and efficient heating and cooling while reducing their energy consumption and contributing to the transition toward a more sustainable energy system. We are now seeking a Plant Manager who wants to both ensure stable operations and develop our facilities. Your Role As Plant Manager, you will have overall responsibility for several energy facilities in our southern region. The role is broad and independent, and you will set the direction for our facilities – together with colleagues and specialized partners with expertise ranging from technology to business. You will spend a significant portion of your time at the European Spallation Source (ESS) in Lund, one of the world's most advanced research facilities. We are responsible for the facility's cooling needs – with uncompromising demands for availability. Your mission is to ensure operational stability while simultaneously developing the facilities' performance, cost-effectiveness, and long-term value. You will also be the important link between operational activities, the customer, and our commercial teams. In this role, you have no direct personnel responsibility – your leadership is instead about coordinating, prioritizing, and driving progress together with others. You will work with, among other things: Manage facility operations, maintenance strategy, and long-term development plans Plan and follow up on maintenance together with the operations organization and contractors Ensure high availability and drive systematic monitoring of deviations and improvements Drive work on occupational health, environment, and regulatory compliance Develop and monitor budgets, maintenance costs, and investments for our facilities Ensure that technical documentation and risk assessments are current Your Experience We believe you have a technical background and have worked with operations, maintenance, or technical management – preferably within energy, real estate, or process industry.
