The Social Services Administration of Stockholm City has an overarching and coordinating role for social services' individual and family care and the disability services area. Here we create good conditions to meet residents in need of social services support. In close collaboration with district administrations, we contribute to a modern, digital, legally secure, equitable, and knowledge-based social service with a strong focus on development. Within the administration, a wide range of support services are offered to the city's residents, and the range changes based on stockholders' needs and district administrations' wishes. Work often takes place in close collaboration with other authorities, civil society, and the business sector. The Social Services Administration is also responsible for the city's food service and tobacco permits and performs supervision.
Welcome to us
Within the Social Services Administration, there is the competence area for disability services and social psychiatry, which consists of four units. Now we are looking for staff for the central placement unit. On behalf of the district administrations, we work to ensure equitable placements and agreements in accordance with the Social Services Act (SoL), the Act with Special Provisions on Care of Children and Young People (LVU), and the Act on Support and Services for Persons with Disabilities (LSS). Today we are 8 people in the group distributed as coordinators, administrators, coordinators, and unit manager.
The unit is both new and a city-wide function. Your role
As a placement coordinator, you will identify and assess appropriate internal and external residential placements for children, young people, and adults who need to be placed by the district administrations. This is done in collaboration with our district administrations and with the city's own HVB and emergency home services as well as with external providers. This may include travel both in the local area and to other parts of Sweden in order to ensure quality in placements through personal contact.
You will ensure that the process for the entire placement is efficient and cohesive, including negotiation and contract writing with providers in close collaboration with our contract coordinators.
You will be part of the team for Children and Young People in the newly established city-wide placement function.
Your competence and experience
We are looking for you who have:
a degree in social work or other relevant higher education, or equivalent competence gained through several years of relevant work experience
experience in authority work with children and young people within individual and family care
experience and understanding of institutional, emergency home, and family foster care
experience with complex placement needs that require individualized solutions
experience with placements outside framework agreements or work with external care providers
experience working with placed children and young people in community care.
It is meritorious to have:
experience from the care provider/provider side within relevant areas, such as family homes, LSS, and HVB
experience with coordination and development work in teams
knowledge of Stockholm City's organization, compensation systems, and procurement processes.
