Kulturskolan Lidköping is now seeking an engaged piano teacher.
Lidköping is a place where life is rich – in culture, leisure, quality of life, and opportunities. Here in our culture school, children and young people discover the joy of music and creativity. Now we are looking for a passionate and creative music teacher who wants to help develop our activities and inspire the next generation of musicians and artists.
At Kulturskolan Lidköping, we primarily teach children and young people aged 5–19 years, but also adults as space permits. Our music activities span music, singing, and ensembles, and we primarily offer instruction in our facilities in Stadsträdgården. In autumn 2024, we became a culture school after being a music school for 49 years. We also launched our open activities, where children and young people have the opportunity to explore a range of cultural expressions at various locations throughout the municipality.

Responsibilities
As a piano teacher at Kulturskolan in Lidköping, you will teach children and young people piano, in both chord playing and notation. You plan, conduct, and follow up on instruction based on each student's abilities, interests, and goals. The position also includes participating in concerts, performances, and other events, as well as collaborating with colleagues at Kulturskolan to develop our activities. You actively contribute to creating an inspiring and inclusive learning environment where students have the opportunity to develop musically and personally.
Who Are You?
We are looking for someone with music education training with a focus on piano or other education that the employer deems equivalent. You have good pedagogical skills and experience teaching children and young people. You are engaged, creative, and have a talent for building good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues.
You are flexible and enjoy working both independently and together with others. We value that you have a broad musical interest and the ability to meet students with different backgrounds, experiences, and musical ambitions.
Other Information
Evening work occurs. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
