We are inviting a RESEARCHER (in the context of the project)
to work on the implementation of the international scientific project Moore4Power (until 30.04.2029).
We invite you to join the Electronics and Computer Science Institute (EDI) team to work on the international scientific project Moore4Power (https://www.edi.lv/projects/vairak-neka-murs-transformejosam-inovacijam-jaudas-elektronika-moore4power/) and contribute to the development of future technologies in the field of electronics. Work can be combined with studies.
EDI is a recognized research center in Europe in the fields of electronics, computer science, and information technology, with the main goal of promoting the development of a knowledge-based economy in Latvia. It is located at Dzērbenes Street 14, Riga, Latvia.
Main Responsibilities:
Participation in the implementation of the Moore4Power research project.
Independently or under the supervision of a scientific work supervisor, complete project work assignments.
Adaptation and evaluation of generative artificial intelligence models for data generation and machine learning applications.
Development and evaluation of artificial intelligence model protection methods.
Development and implementation of methodologies for assessing the security, robustness, performance, and efficiency of artificial intelligence systems.
Participation in demonstrator development and validation activities.
Documentation of scientific results, preparation and presentation of publications in English.
Requirements for Candidates:
Academic education in engineering or computer science, or current enrollment in studies.
Good communication skills and ability to work both as a team and independently.
High sense of responsibility and accuracy.
Willingness to learn and acquire new skills.
Desire to work in science, document your results, participate in conferences, and engage in various other science-related activities.
Good written and oral knowledge of Latvian and English.
Knowledge of machine learning and generative artificial intelligence methods and experience working with Python and modern AI frameworks (e.g., PyTorch or TensorFlow) will be considered an advantage.

Salary (gross) for full-time:
EUR 1,920 to EUR 2,880 before taxes, depending on education, qualifications, experience, and the scope of work to be performed.
Working Hours:
Both full-time and part-time positions available (0.5-1.0).
Institute working hours 8:30-17:00 (we are flexible and can adapt to other working hours).
Work can be combined with studies.
