We are now seeking two personal assistants for our staffing pool who want to contribute to creating independence, participation, and security for our residents in their daily lives. As a personal assistant with us, you will have a stimulating work environment where you have great opportunities to develop in your professional role. The assignment involves staffing various types of tasks within the Disability Sector located throughout Östersund municipality.
The pool's mission is to staff both planned and emergency absences. Working hours follow a flexible schedule with service around the clock and vary depending on who you work with, including daytime, evening, overnight on-call, weekends, and 24-hour shifts. As a team member in the pool, you participate in schedule planning together with your work team. For this assignment, you also receive a salary supplement.
These are permanent positions at 100%. A probationary period may apply, and start date is by agreement.
Your New Job
As a personal assistant in the pool, you are an important source of security for residents with disabilities. You work independently and provide support both in and outside the home, always based on the individual's needs, wishes, and circumstances.
The work is varied and you encounter different types of tasks. You assist with everything from personal care and intimate hygiene to everyday activities such as shopping, cooking, walks, laundry, and cleaning. You may also accompany residents on activities, outings, and be a trusted companion and support in social situations. In this role, you work to promote health, contribute to increased independence, and create conditions for a safe and meaningful daily life for the resident. The assignment involves covering absences within the unit, and your main workplace is in the resident's home.
We offer varied and meaningful work where as a personal assistant you have the opportunity to make a real difference. Today we support 13 residents with various disabilities, ranging in age from 4–80 years. This creates a dynamic work environment where flexibility and the ability to adapt are important qualities. We appreciate your ability to support, motivate, and guide residents in their efforts to participate in society and take part in activities outside the home. Documentation is part of our work that we are required by law to perform. It is therefore important that you have good computer skills.

Your Qualifications
Requirements
Driver's license and access to your own vehicle are required, as some residents live outside the city center
Experience in care and support work
Good knowledge of Swedish in speaking, writing, and reading comprehension
Meritorious
Experience working as a personal assistant
Education that the supervisor deems relevant to care work is meritorious; however, your personal qualities will be valued higher
Good computer skills
We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Through your personal maturity and judgment, you approach different situations with calm, respect, and thoughtfulness. Since our residents have different ways of communicating, we also see that you have pedagogical ability and can adapt your way of conveying information so that it is understandable, safe, and supportive for each person.
