Employer: DreamCare Omsorg AB Work Location: Västerås Position Type: Part-time, hourly employment Start Date: Immediate Work Schedule: Varying – day, evening, and weekends About the Position We are now seeking engaged and responsible personal assistants for a young child with significant disabilities. The child has diagnoses within the autism spectrum and lacks independence in all daily activities. The work takes place in the home and during activities in the community. Your Main Responsibilities As a personal assistant, you will be essential support for the child's safety, development, and participation in daily life. The work includes, among other things: Assistance with personal hygiene, toilet visits, showering, and care Dressing and undressing, including help choosing clothes Feeding and supervision during meals – ensure adequate nutrition and prevent choking risk Communication and interpretation of the child's signals (non-verbal communication) Prevention of risk behaviors and outbursts, including distraction and calming measures Accompaniment during activities, outdoor time, and outings Personal care (e.g., medication, moisturizing) Safe presence, structure, and continuity in daily life Who Are You? We are looking for someone who is calm, patient, and able to act professionally in demanding situations. You need to be attentive, clear, and have a good sense of the child's needs – regarding communication, structure, and safety. Requirements: Strong Swedish language skills, spoken and written Physical and mental resilience – the work can be both physically and emotionally demanding Flexibility and sense of responsibility Good collaboration skills and respect for the child's integrity and the family's wishes Merit Factors: Experience working with children with autism, intellectual disabilities, or ADHD Experience in personal assistance, special education, rehabilitation, or other care-related roles Background in child and leisure programs, care and nursing education, or other relevant training B-class driver's license We place great importance on personal suitability and the ability to create a sense of security.
