About the Position In your role as a personal assistant, you help the customer with what comes up in their daily life. Personal assistance is a service provided under LSS (the Act Concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments). Each customer is unique and work tasks vary based on individual needs. The work may, for example, involve assistance with transfers, personal care, training and communication, as well as household chores and activities inside and outside the home. You respect the customer's self-determination and integrity and contribute to making everyday life function in a safe and smooth manner. To thrive as a personal assistant, it's important that there is good personal chemistry between you and the customer. Since each assistance arrangement is unique, we will learn more about you during the recruitment process to create the best possible match. You will receive information about which customer or customers you may work with and how the work is structured in each assignment. At Humana, it's important that both you as an assistant and the customer feel secure in your collaboration. That's why all new assistants receive tailored training, both for the professional role and for the specific customer you will work with. Who Are You? We are looking for someone who is good at building positive relationships, has great commitment, is willing to take responsibility, and easily adapts to new situations. Since all our customers have different needs and preferences, we ask you to answer the selection questions as clearly and thoroughly as possible – this increases the chance that we can match you with the right assignment. We are now looking for someone who meets the following criteria: Has good knowledge of Swedish Has previous experience with similar work Can tolerate pets (dogs/cats may be present in the home) Is a non-smoker (during working hours) Has good physical fitness (heavy lifting may occur with some customers) You can work all hours of the day and night, both weekdays and weekends. It is also meriting if you: Have experience with epilepsy Have experience with mobility aids, such as lifts Have experience with autism Great weight will be placed on personal suitability. Working Hours and Employment Type As an hourly temporary worker, you work as needed with one or more of our customers in Östersund. Working hours vary based on customer needs and can include days, evenings, nights, weekdays, and weekends. On-call shifts with overnight duty may occur. Nights with active night duty and standby time occur. We would like you to have the ability to work varying hours throughout the day and night, both weekdays and weekends. The current employment type is "hourly employment," which means work as needed. Before the position starts, you will complete a paid introduction/orientation. During the orientation period, you will receive a limited-term hourly employment contract with a fixed end date. We would like you to be interested in training and working with several of our customers in Östersund! Fixed hourly wage by agreement and other compensation according to collective agreement. Commencement Commencement will be by agreement. Being Employed at Humana A requirement to begin employment with us at Humana is that you as an applicant can provide a valid ID document and any documents proving your right to work in Sweden. To work as a personal assistant, you must be at least 18 years old. Under Swedish law, we as an employer are required to request a criminal record extract from all employees who will work as personal assistants for a child under 18 years of age. Therefore, you must provide an extract from the police's criminal record register and suspicion register prior to potential employment.
