We are seeking a personal assistant for a cheerful and positive young woman in Vara. My name is Annika and I work as a customer manager at FMF Assistans. One of my most important responsibilities is ensuring that staffing works well for our customers. We are now looking for a new colleague who wants to become an important person in Giulia's daily life.
Giulia is a cheerful, positive and lively 26-year-old girl who loves play, walks and being active. She lives with her mom, dad and little sister in Vara.
She has extensive support needs and requires assistance with everything from play, meals, personal care and communication to exercise and stimulation. Giulia also has epilepsy and needs active supervision. Although she is an adult, she has developmental needs similar to a small child, and it is important that you can meet her with patience, joy and commitment.
Giulia participates in day activities on weekdays. Outside of these times, her personal assistants are by her side, helping her have a safe, meaningful and active everyday life. For Giulia, it is important that you, as the applicant, are a woman, as she feels safer and more comfortable with that.
About the Position
Currently, only mom and dad work as personal assistants, and we are now seeking a part-time temporary assistant who can work mainly afternoons and evenings after day activities. Weekend work also occurs.
During the summer, when Giulia is not in day activities, there is an opportunity to work more—on average around 30 hours per week. Additional shifts may also become available as needed, for example due to illness or vacation.
You will work in Giulia's home and will receive individualized introduction and training regarding her support needs, routines and working methods.
The Assistant's Role and Experience
You are a positive, responsible and attentive person with great patience and a genuine interest in working with people. You are proactive, confident and enjoy coming up with activities, playing and creating a meaningful everyday life.
You need to be flexible regarding working hours, as we work together to create functional staffing and always prioritize Giulia's needs first. Experience in personal assistance or work with people with disabilities is a merit, but personal suitability is most important. We are looking for someone who wants to make a difference and become an important part of Giulia's daily life. Desirable Experience
Swedish fluency in speech and writing.
