Personal Assistant to Young Man in Tomelilla – Hourly Position

We are now seeking personal assistants for our client in Tomelilla. We are looking for someone willing to work as an hourly employee on an as-needed basis. You need to be able to step in with short notice when regular assistants are absent. Work hours are 14:05 - 22:30, 22:30 - 09:00 (awake night shifts) and weekends 08:00 - 15:00, 15:00 - 23:00. The client lives in Tomelilla. We welcome both women and men of various ages. Our client is a young man who is about to enter adulthood and lives with his parents in Tomelilla. Our client has a diagnosis within the autism spectrum and an intellectual disability. He has a significant need for supervision and requires support and assistance with most aspects of daily living. He is an active person who enjoys going on walks and other activities outside the home. During the summer months, he spends his leisure time at a camping site outside Ystad, and you will work where the client is located. Therefore, it is important that you have a driver's license and access to your own car to commute to work. Our client has a dog, so you cannot be allergic to or afraid of dogs. The client can experience epileptic seizures; if you have experience with this, it is a plus. We want you to be adaptable – sometimes you need to take a step back and wait. But often you need to be active in motivating various activities. You need to maintain a childlike spirit and be able to be positive and happy; being genuine can be key to resolving difficult situations that arise in the work.
