Your Assignment As a personal assistant, you work closely with the client and provide individually tailored support based on their needs, wishes and decisions regarding personal assistance. The work is based on the client's self-determination, integrity and participation. The tasks vary depending on the assignment but may include: * Personal care and hygiene. * Support with meals and transfers. * Household tasks such as cooking, laundry and cleaning. * Accompanying clients to activities, errands and medical visits. * Documentation and cooperation with family members and other professionals. * Contributing to a safe, secure and meaningful daily life. Description of the Workplace Personal assistance is individually designed support for people with extensive disabilities. As a personal assistant, you work in the client's home and where the client spends time. Together you create conditions for an active, independent and meaningful life. The work is varied and is based on close collaboration with the client, colleagues, family members and other people around the client. The work is scheduled 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Your Competence We are looking for someone with upper secondary education, preferably in health and care, or other education that the employer considers equivalent. You have experience working in health care, social services or personal assistance, or other experience that the employer considers relevant. You also have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. It is an advantage if you have experience in personal assistance or working with people with disabilities. We would also like to see that you have knowledge of low-arousal approaches or alternative and augmentative communication (AAC), as well as experience performing delegated health and medical care tasks. As a person, you are reliable, attentive and responsible. You have good interpersonal skills, show respect for the client's integrity and have the ability to work both independently and with others. You are flexible, take initiative and easily adapt to changing needs. It is also important that you can plan and prioritize your work. Since the service operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, throughout the municipality, a Class B driver's license and access to your own car are required.
