The Social Services Department's mission is to meet people's need for security. WORK DUTIES As a personal assistant you provide support and help in daily life to people with disabilities. The work involves creating conditions for the user to live their life according to their own wishes, needs and goals. An important part of the role is to promote the user's independence and facilitate so that the person can manage daily activities and live as independent a life as possible. This may concern meals, hygiene and managing the home, but it often also involves helping the user be a parent and manage their work. You help the user engage in leisure interests, participate in various association activities or study. The work involves working with several different users. The activity operates according to the basic principles of the LSS Act. The work includes meeting the individual's need for guidance and care with respect for self-determination, independence and integrity. The work tasks involve being responsive to users' individual needs, wishes and resources. You will help with all tasks that arise around the user. The work includes documentation of users' condition and the measures you take. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who likes and has the ability to work with people with physical, mental and/or neuropsychiatric disabilities. You should have upper secondary education in healthcare or child and leisure with a focus on intellectual disability, social work or other education/experience that the employer finds appropriate. It is a merit if you have experience with the target group. As a person we see that you are responsive, driven and flexible. We see that you have a positive and professional approach where you show good judgment and understand that you yourself influence the situation when you speak and act. We see that you are good at collaboration and that you have a strong ability to work with different kinds of people. A B driver's license is a merit. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability and contact skills.
