Personal Assistant for Man in Varberg

We are now seeking a new male assistant for one of our clients. We would prefer that you are a calm and trustworthy man who can maintain a good balance between supervision and giving our client space. Previous assistance work is a merit but not a requirement; in this case, it's very much about balanced personal chemistry. We are looking for an assistant for a cheerful and active man who has an acquired adult brain injury. There are recurring incidents of acting out and repetitive behavior as a result of his condition; working with low affect and having knowledge in this area is a merit. There are also recurring difficulties with epilepsy, so knowledge of epilepsy is a merit. As a personal assistant, you are the client's arms and legs, and the work is adapted to the client's life. We are looking for someone with great sense of responsibility; you should be resourceful and enrich our client's life. It is also important that you are forward-thinking, curious, and can take your own initiative with guidance while respecting personal boundaries; chemistry between you and the client is a big part of the work. Care training is not a must; the most important thing is that you and the client work well together, but of course training and experience are a merit. This client enjoys outdoor activities, walks, bowling, etc. You will help this man in his daily life, with his home, taking care of his hygiene, cooking, etc., and be a support through his everyday life. Shifts are arranged as overnight shifts with sleeping on-call duty; the position is approximately 85%. The position is located in central Varberg; a B driver's license is required. We have been operating since 1998 and also offer camps and accompaniment both on the west coast and in the mountains, as well as recreational trips around the world.
