Personal Assistant for Man in Falkenberg

We are now seeking new assistants for a 32-year-old man in Falkenberg. He has double assistance around the clock with awake nights. Our client has Duchenne muscular dystrophy and uses a wheelchair, living in his own apartment in central Falkenberg with assistants. He is unable to maintain his own breathing and has therefore had a tracheostomy surgically implanted with home ventilation. There are also several other assistive devices. We are seeking staff primarily for awake nights, but daytime shifts are also needed. The positions are approximately 70-85% and we are looking for 2 people for nights and 2 for daytime. Experience with PEG, ventilators, and other assistive devices is advantageous. Since we wish to fill these positions as soon as possible, it is beneficial if you are available immediately. We would prefer that you as an applicant are a calm and secure man or woman in approximately the age range 25-35. As a personal assistant, you are the client's arms and legs, and the work is adapted to the client's life. We are looking for someone with great sense of responsibility, you should be resourceful and enrich our client's life. It is also important that you as an applicant are proactive, curious, and can take own initiative after guidance while respecting personal boundaries—chemistry between you and the client is a big part of the work. Care education is not a must; what matters most is that you and the client work well together, but of course education and experience are advantageous. The position is in central Falkenberg; a driver's license is not a requirement. Feel Well - Varberg AB is an assistance company located on the west coast.
