About the Position Personal assistance is a service under LSS (the Act on Support and Services for Persons with Certain Disabilities). As a personal assistant, you will primarily help the client with everything that arises in daily life and with basic needs. Your work involves safeguarding the client's self-determination and integrity, and contributes to a smooth-running everyday life. Each assistance is uniquely tailored to the client's life, so work tasks may vary depending on the workplace. The client is a woman in her mid-50s who lives in central Alingsås. She has a cognitive disability and needs support in her daily life with both personal care and practical tasks. The client enjoys taking walks, has an interest in interior design, and enjoys watching sports on TV, particularly handball and ice hockey. Since the work involves personal care, the client would prefer female applicants, but all applications will be considered. The work tasks involve being a safe and structured support at home, helping with daily routines, and accompanying the client on activities. Who Are You? The role of personal assistant places high demands on the ability to build good relationships. We are therefore looking for someone who is attentive, engaged, and responsible. It is also important that you can take initiative and are receptive to seeing what needs to be done. To thrive as a personal assistant, it is important that there is good personal chemistry between you as the assistant and the client. For this position, you must have: Good knowledge of the Swedish language regarding understanding, speaking, and writing Experience working in care and support Good physical condition and experience/knowledge of proper lifting techniques Non-smoker status For this position, it is advantageous if you: Have previous experience working as a personal assistant Share the client's interests in sports, walks, or interior design Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability. Working Hours, Employment Level, and Salary The current employment form is "For the Duration of the Assistance Assignment" (SLUV). The position comprises approximately 7–8 shifts per month, which means every other weekend. All shifts are scheduled for evening/night, 15:00–06:00 (of which 6.7 hours consist of on-call time). Fixed hourly wages according to agreement and other compensation according to collective agreement. Start Date Immediate employment.
