Personal Assistant for a Boy in Ronneby (2 Positions)

Fixa Assistans is a family-oriented personal assistance company with extensive experience providing personal care for both children and adults. Our goal is to build long-term relationships and a work environment where everyone feels comfortable and valued. We are now seeking a personal assistant for a 14-year-old boy living west of Ronneby. One position is full-time (100%) and one is 75%, working varying hours (afternoons, evenings, weekends, and some nights), with certain hours involving two assistants. We place great emphasis on personal chemistry and personal qualities. You must not be allergic to animals. The boy has Down syndrome, autism, ADHD, epilepsy, and type 1 diabetes. Communication is through iPad and sign language support. You must get to know the boy well to understand him. The boy receives manual tube feeding. All training is provided through introduction with experienced assistants. Access to your own car is required to get to the workplace, as public transportation is not available. As a person, you must be responsible, attentive, flexible, patient, able to take initiative, and adapt your work to the user's needs. You must have a strong ability to read needs and wishes even when these are not expressed verbally. The nature of the work requires that you are fluent in speaking and understanding Swedish—for example, being able to understand and read various instructions and checklists, follow established routines, document, and communicate via the iPad.
