Vilhelmina Municipality, LSS Care is seeking a personal assistant for a wonderfully happy child who brings joy to everyone around them. The child lives with mom, dad, an older sister (8 years old) and a younger sister (1 year old). The child attends school at Volgsjö with allocated resources, but has a personal assistant with them around the clock. This position is permanent, but a probationary period may be applied. The position is 80% full-time. The child's start in life was difficult and today has a brain injury affecting voluntary motor function. The child has significant vision impairment and limited speech. The child's intellectual level corresponds to that of a one-year-old. The child enjoys sitting in someone's lap, bathing, spending time with family, playing with sisters, animals, fast-moving motors and good food. Following along in a stroller on a walk is wonderful and the child becomes happy from music and singing. Due to the brain injury, the child tires easily and needs extra rest during the day, when it's nice to listen to a story. Work Tasks Do you want to make a real difference in a child's life? We are looking for a warm and positive personal assistant who can support and encourage a child with multiple disabilities, epilepsy and severe vision impairment. About the role: You will work closely with the child in personal care, provide support during activities and create a sense of security in daily life. The work is carried out both at home, at school and when needed at rehabilitation facilities, rehabilitation pools, hospital visits and more. The child loves participating in various activities, especially bathing. Qualifications We are looking for you if you: Enjoy working in a flexible environment and can take own initiative. Have good collaboration skills. Have a big heart and want to create security and joy in the child's daily life. Are reliable, responsible and have a positive attitude. It is an advantage if you have USK training or equivalent experience as assessed by the employer. However, personal chemistry is a decisive factor. Previous experience with epilepsy and seizures, as well as working with people with disabilities, is also an advantage. You must be attentive to the child's needs and be able to act in case of serious seizures. You hold a category B driver's license.
