I am a 40-year-old man with developmental disabilities, physical impairments, and no verbal speech. I need assistance with everything in my daily life to live a good life. I live in a ground-floor apartment in a quiet area near the center of Örkelljunga. I enjoy going on wheelchair rides and walking with my walker. Three days a week I attend a day activity program, and my personal assistant accompanies me there. I enjoy singing and music, and I ride horses once a week. We are seeking a personal assistant at approximately 60% employment on a rotating 4-week schedule. Personal suitability is very important to us. Education and experience are merits. Work hours: 08:45–08:45 (24-hour shift) 08:30–16:45 (day shift) 16:45–09:00 (evening/night shift) You should: Have great patience and a positive outlook on life Be able to interpret my signals and assist me well despite my inability to communicate what I want and need Work well and collaboratively with my other assistants Be a non-smoker Not be allergic to horses Be calm and responsible Be independent and able to work alone with me Be physically strong Be able to help me with all household tasks such as cleaning and cooking Enjoy spending time outdoors regardless of weather Before an employment offer is made, a criminal record excerpt from the police is requested.
