Personal Assistant Needed for Man with ALS in Central Linköping

This fall, we are launching new assignments at Frösunda and are therefore seeking more engaged and thoughtful staff members for our wonderful assistance team. We are now seeking personal assistants for our client, a man in his 60s who lives centrally in Linköping with his wife. The client has 24-hour dual assistance and you will become an important part of a secure and stable team with experienced assistants and high morale. About the Position As a personal assistant, you work closely with the client and help him with personal care and certain healthcare services that are performed as self-care. Our client has ALS, which means the work requires responsibility, attentiveness, and the ability to be mindful of his needs. There may be quiet moments during your shift, but it is equally important that you are present and attentive at all times. We are primarily seeking you if you want to work on a scheduled basis with mostly evening shifts on weekdays and every other weekend. There may also be occasional day shifts or night shifts. We would appreciate it if you also had the flexibility to work extra when needed, such as during a colleague's absence. We are also seeking temporary staff who have the ability to work different times of day and can step in when needed. Experience with ventilators and cough machines is a merit. Education or previous experience in healthcare and care work is also desirable. Who Are We Looking For? We are seeking someone who is: Engaged, confident, and responsible. Respectful, attentive, and has a genuine interest in getting to know the client and his needs. Comfortable with care work and willing to learn the tasks involved in the assignment. Attentive and can remain calm even when the situation demands it. Flexible and able to work extra when needed. Proficient in Swedish in both speech and writing, as communication with the client and documentation are important parts of the work. To thrive in this assignment, you need to be smoke-free and avoid perfume, as this is important given the client's situation. You don't need to have worked as a personal assistant before. The most important thing is that you have the right attitude, are engaged, and want to make a difference in another person's daily life. Start date: The assignment begins 1/10, but training occurs on an ongoing basis starting immediately. We apply individual salary setting and have a collective agreement.
